Όταν η νεαρή φοιτήτρια Helen αποφασίζει να μελετήσει τον θρύλο του Κάντιμαν στο πλαίσιο της διατριβής της, για κακή της τύχη καλεί στον πραγματικό κόσμο τη δολοφονική φιγούρα του Κάντιμαν.
